General School Regulations


I Admissin Eligiblity

  • Every candidate for admission must be introduced in person to the Principal by the one who will be responsible for the child. 
  • At the time of admission the following documents will be required  
    • Transfer certificate if she comes from a recognized school. If the school is outside must be countersigned by the education Inspector of the State from which she comes. 
    • An officials Birth Certificate, if she joins school fresh from home. 
  • A month’s notice must be submitted in writing before the withdrawal of a child. Application form for the School Leaving Certificate is given in the school calendar. 
  • Once school fee paid will not be return.

II School Uniform

  • Students should come clean and tidy in their person and dress. Each student should have at least two sets of the School Uniform. In clean school uniform Blouses are to be changed at least twice a week. 
  • On school days and for school functions each student must wear the school uniform:-  
    • A blue black Skirt, white blouse and a gray cardigan (1-10th grade) 
    • A blue black Skirt, white blouse and a blue cardigan (11-12th grade)  
  • Parents kindly check your child’s uniform. The sleeves length should be 2” above the elbow. Skirts length 2” below the knees. 
  • Nails must be kept short. Nail polish are not permitted. 
  • Girls having long hair should make two plaits by tying black ribbons to their hair. 
  • For the safety of the child in and outside school no jewelry is to be worn, except simple ear- rings and a watch.
  • If the uniform is not proper the pupil may be sent home.

III Attendance

  • No student will be allowed to appear for the annual examination unless she has put the maximum attendance of 75% of the total working days in each term of the school during the academic year.  
  • For the genuine reasons, leave of absence will be granted on previously written application, from parents or guardians.  
  • For unforeseen reasons when leave cannot be obtained previously, parents or guardians should send a note of explanation in the pages reserved for this purpose in the school calendar. Failure to produce this note may oblige the school authorities to send the students home, even during school hours in this case the school disclaims all responsibility.  
  • In case, of illness a medical certificate is required for an absence of a week.  
  • Should a pupil be absent without leave her name will be retained on the rolls for a month only. 
  • No pupil will be allowed to go home during school hours (except during recess in case of emergency) unless a duly authorized person comes to fetch her with a letter from parents.

IV Examinations and Promotions

  • No student may absent herself from any form of evaluation except when prevented by reasons of health in which case a medical certificate is required.  
  • A student who is caught copying at the examination will have her paper taken away and no marks of grades will be given. 
  • Students absent from the summative evaluation are not re-examined. 
  • Promotions shall be governed by the rules of the Directorate of Education. 
  • Results once declared shall be treated as final.

V Fees (Pre-Primary)

  • All fees are payable in advance i.e. before the 10th of the month for which they fall due.  
  • All arrears should be cleared before the examination 
  • No reduction in tuition fees is made for intermittent periods of non-attendance

VI General Rules of Discipline

  • Pupils must be punctual for Morning Assembly, Late comers will be penalized. 
  • Once the pupil comes to school, she should not leave the classroom without the permission of the teacher, and the school premises without the permission of the principal. 
  • No student is permitted to enter the Teacher’s Staff Room.
  • Irregular attendance, unjustified or unexplained absence for more than one month, habitual laziness, disobedience or defiance of school authority, immoral behavior or repeated failures in examinations justify dismissal or suspension from the school. 
  • Students are responsible to the School authorities for their exemplary conduct both in and outside the school. 
  • Novels, newspapers and other periodicals may not be brought to the school without the previous sanction of the Principal. 
  • Any damage done to school property must be made good. Writing, carving and scratching on the walls and furniture will be severely penalized. 
  • Pupils will be required to stay after school to take part in games and other school activities. 
  • Attendance at school functions is necessary. 
  • The following students will be kept back after school. 
    • Students who do not their home-work and neglect their daily lessons for 5 consecutive times in each subject. 
    • All those who fail to get a B grade in Formative Evaluation. 
    • For remedial classes. 
  • No collection for any purpose whatsoever is to be started without the prior permission of the Principal. Similarly, no outings, picnics, etc. may be planned by students or members of the staff without informing the principal. 
  • A notice of 3 days must be given for any certificate or document required from the school office.  
  • No pupil is exempted from games, yoga and P.T. without a medical certificate. 
  • Students are not allowed to receive visitors in the school.

VII Recommendation to Parents

  • Parents are urged to co-operate with school authorities in enforcing regularity and discipline. They should see that their children dutifully complete all home work allotted and take active interest in the activities of the school. 
  • No visitors are allowed during class hours. Teachers and pupils may be interviewed during recess only or after class.   
  • Parents are requested not to remain within the school premises during class hours. 
  • They should regularly see their children’s calendar, note and sign their Report Cards and return the Report Card to the school. 
  • Private tuitions are discouraged and should be resorted to only after consulting the principal. 
  • Parents are expected to make good any damage done to furniture, library books etc. The school does not hold itself responsible for loss of books, money etc…
  • Parents should bring complaints, if any, to the Principal and not to the Teachers. Your suggestions if any are also welcome. 
  • Guiding primary work experience and drawing are compulsory subjects. Parents are reminded to provide their children with the required materials for their work. 
  • All parents are invited to join the Parent –Teacher Meeting of the school and attend the meetings organized by the school authorities whenever it is required. 
  • Parents are encouraged to show keen interest in the developmental programes of the school and contribute actively with their time, talents and resources. 
  • The attendance of the parents for the Parent – Teacher Meetings is compulsory. 
  • No Tiffin’s, projects, books etc will be accepted during class hours.
